The short answer

One person, working from Berlin, who has spent a lot of time inside European bureaucracy and got tired of watching families pay thousands for research that can be written once.

There is no firm behind this, no team page, and no founder story worth your time.

How the material is written

• From primary sources: the law text, the ministry circular, the rulings themselves.
• Every claim carries the date it was checked, so you can see when it goes stale.
• Open questions are published as open questions, not smoothed over.
• Where the honest answer is that you need a lawyer, that is what it says.

How we make money

You pay us once, directly, and that is all. We do not take a share of anything, we are not paid by any firm, and no consulate or agency has any relationship with us. Where a page ever links to a paid service and we would earn something, it will say so above the link, before you click.
